Hungarian national team forward Barnabas Varga was seriously injured in the 3rd round of the European Football Championship against Scotland. The 29-year-old leader of Ferencvaros collided with Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn in the 71st minute and was left lying motionless on the turf.
According to the video, the top scorer of the 2022/23 Hungarian league hit his head hard and lost consciousness.

Medical staff provided first aid to the injured man on the pitch for ten minutes, while the stewards surrounded the Hungarian with opaque screens. Later, a stretcher was rolled onto the pitch, loaded onto the player and rushed to the hospital.
The situation was so serious that the Hungarian national team almost kicked the stewards with the stretcher, who were going to Barnabas, who was lying down.
