This action-packed thriller is centered on a case of extreme anger on the road that goes far beyond a heated exchange of words and a few car horns.

Single mom Rachel Flynn (Karen Pistorius) is not having a good day. She's running late and has just suffered a major setback at work, but things get much worse when she gets involved in a road rage altercation with a stranger in a pickup truck (Russell Crowe).

This incident on the road causes Rachel's already difficult day to turn into a nightmare, as after their first heated interaction, the stranger begins to follow the woman.

However, this mysterious stranger is much more than just an angry driver, and Rachel learns not only about his dark past but also about how far he is willing to go in the name of revenge.

The real star of the movie is Russell Crowe. The actor demonstrates a great psychopathic performance and makes a strong impression from the very beginning. There is a very disturbing quality to his character, and even in scenes where he doesn't technically do anything violent or aggressive, you get the feeling that he is a powder keg just waiting to explode.

"Unhinged has the perfect length for a thriller – 93 minutes. This is not a movie with a lot of blood and violence for the sake of violence. Instead, every moment is devoted to Rachel's increasingly desperate attempts to outwit a stranger who cannot control his violent impulses

The film was not met with a favorable reception from critics. It received a 48% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on over 200 reviews. However, the audience was more impressed, giving it a much higher score (77%). Sure, Ruthless is a one-off thriller, but it never claimed to be anything more.
