In the Ternopil region, a lyceum set a record by holding a lesson simultaneously in 22 classes

In the Ternopil region, Khorostkiv Lyceum No. 1 set a record for the whole country, during which 22 writers simultaneously taught a literature lesson in 22 classes. The children were taught by members of the National Union of Writers and Journalists of Ukraine, winners of literary awards and authors of collections.

Lyceum director Svitlana Diachok told Suspilne that the idea was decided to be implemented on the occasion of Shevchenko's Day. The record was registered by the head of the National Register of Records of Ukraine, Lana Vetrova.

"Just in time for the Shevchenko Days, we decided to bring this idea to life. We had only a month to prepare, so we called the writers we wanted to see in the school, and they gave 22 lessons with students," Diachok says.

Children's writer Zoryana Bindas held a lesson in the 1st grade, telling about her book "Patriotic cats". During the lesson, the children shared their pets by passing around a toy. The class teacher, Anna Veres, prepared the students for the meeting by studying the book with them, reading the author's biography and drawing pictures.

The 8th grade class was taught by Zirka Menzatiuk, author of How I Destroyed the Empire. The students prepared and reenacted one of the episodes of the book. The writer notes that she does not dare to read to children because it can be boring, but she was pleased with this interpretation.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that an 11th-grader set a Ukrainian record for English language proficiency.
