Olympic champion and 6-time world biathlon champion Sturla Laegreid, together with his countryman Martin Uldal (winner of the World Youth Championships), supported Ukrainian biathlete Dmytro Pidruchnyi. During a flower ceremony after the sprint at the 4th stage of the World Cup in Oberhof, Germany, the Norwegians helped our compatriot unfurl the flag of Ukraine.

Podruchnyi finished fourth. Uldal and Laegreid were fifth and sixth, respectively.

"I was holding one flag, and Sturla offered to join me, to support me. Uldal also said he wanted to help," Pidruchnyi shared his emotions in an interview with Supilne.

After the ceremony, Dmytro thanked the Norwegians, noting that their support was very important for him and Ukraine.

Legacy responded that it was important to them and assured them that they were always ready to help.

In addition, Sturla posted a photo with the Ukrainian flag on his Instagram, noting that he was happy to share the flower ceremony with Pidruchnyi.

The official account of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) also posted a post with photos on social media.
