"The next day they will come running to reconcile": Russian Olympic champion says Russia has clearly won the war

Vasiliev criticized WADA

Two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasiliev made a fantasy statement that the whole world will "run to make peace with us" the day after the end of Russia's criminal war against Ukraine. The former biathlete criticized the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), which banned the aggressor country from international competitions.

Vasilyev said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The winner of the Sarajevo '84 and Calgary '88 Games added that WADA has no right to prevent Russia from holding the so-called Friendship Games, which are planned for 2024 by order of dictator Vladimir Putin.

"It would be naive to think that they will not start building some kind of traps. So they are starting to build them. Only if we remember how they treat other national anti-doping agencies, we will see a different picture. Everything is clear. It would be strange if they did nothing to discredit our games. As long as the World War II (as the war in Ukraine is shamefully called in Russia - ed.) is going on, the situation will not change. As soon as the war is over, the next day they will come running to make peace with us. It is absolutely obvious. There can be no two ways about it," Vasilyev said.

IOC President Thomas Bach and Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, the Friendship Games called for a boycott of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In turn, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Pekskov said with regret that "the IOC is unlikely to collapse in the near future."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, two-time Olympic hockey champion Vyacheslav Fetisov threw a real tantrum and demanded that the IOC not interfere in Russia's affairs. In turn, the president of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation (RCCF), Yelena Vyalbe, expressed the absurd idea that Russian athletes would be persuaded to return to international tournaments.
