How to cook delicious cabbage rolls for lunch

Cabbage rolls are a favorite dish of many Ukrainians. A feast without this dish is almost impossible. Many housewives cook them even just for lunch if they have a large family. However, to keep the filling from being dry and the leaves firm, you need to follow a few cooking secrets.
The idea of cooking juicy cabbage rolls with rice for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Anna Tymoshenko (anna timoshenko13). Don't forget that the leaves must be scalded, and only pre-cooked rice should be added to the filling.

Ingredients:
- cabbage - 1 pc
- minced pork - 500 g
- dry rice - 200 g
- onion - 2 pcs
- carrots - 2 pcs
- sour cream - 2 tbsp
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp
- flour - 1 tbsp
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- salt, black pepper
- water - 800 ml
- oil
Method of preparation:

1. Cook the cabbage until the leaves are soft.
2. Cut out the middle.
Scald.

3. Boil the rice until tender.
4. Fry the chopped onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Mix the minced meat with cooked rice.

5. Add grated carrots and fry for another 5-7 minutes.
6. In a separate bowl, mix the minced meat, cooked rice, half of the roast, salt and black pepper.

7. Stir and you make the cabbage rolls.
8. Put about one spoonful of minced meat on each piece of cabbage.

9. Put the cabbage rolls in a saucepan, top with the rest of the roast and pour the sauce over, for which you need to mix the tomato paste, sour cream, flour, sugar, salt and water.

10. If there are cabbage leaves left, put them on top too.

11. Cook under the lid for at least an hour.
