The most beautiful biathlete of Ukraine, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, competed in the mass start at the World Championships for the first time in her life

On the final day of the Biathlon World Championships in the Czech city of Nove Mesto, the women's mass start took place. Ukraine was represented by Khrystyna Dmytrenko.

For the 24-year-old native of Chernihiv, it was the first race with a mass start in her career, which affected her final result. Khrystyna passed only the second firing line without a miss. On the rest of the firing lines, the Ukrainian made one inaccurate shot, eventually taking 27th place out of 30 athletes.

"I was losing with my skis. This affects the result, the way you feel, because you have to invest twice as much. What I gained on the ascents, I lost again on the descent. It's hard to fight in such a race," Dmytrenko was quoted as saying by Suspilne.

Justine Breza-Boucher of France won the mass start. Lisa Vitozzi from Italy came in second. Lou Jeanmonneau, another representative of France, came in third.

We would like to remind you that 24-year-old Dmytrenko won the unofficial title of the most beautiful biathlete of our national team after her debut at the World Cup.

It is worth noting that after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, Dmytrenko changed her biathlon rifle to an assault rifle.
