The new budget crossover VW Tera for the 2026 model year is ready for the premiere. The car will be the cheapest crossover of the German brand and will be more affordable than the Renault Duster. The car was shown in new photos.
The budget crossover Skoda Kylaq 2025 was officially declassified earlier. Next in line is the related Volkswagen Tera model, which was previously known as VW Project 246. Details are reported by VWnews.
The new Volkswagen Tera crossover has already been officially announced. The inexpensive car with a completely new design in the corporate style of the German brand will be smaller and cheaper than the VW T-Cross.

The length of the novelty will be approximately 4 m, the crossover is compact. It will be based on the MQB-A0 IN platform. The projected price of the Volkswagen Tera is about $15,000.
The new VW Tera 2026 will focus on the basic market segment due to its attractive price and compact size. The crossover will have only front-wheel drive and a 1-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 115 hp will be installed under the hood.
