Inspired by UFOs, Vietnamese inventor Trang Long Ho has created a futuristic flying saucer boat. The unique vehicle on water reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h and even flies a little into the air.

In the video, Ho demonstrates how he builds the "extraterrestrial object" from scratch in his home workshop. Made of fiberglass and several steel plates, the vessel has automatic doors, light panels, and a comfortable chair for the "pilot," writes DailyMail.

"How did I create my own UFO? I saw it in a dream," the inventor wrote under the video.

Although Trang Long Ho's creation looks futuristic, it is made of simple materials. In the video, which documents the construction process in detail, the inventor begins by creating a sand model in the shape of the upper part of the UFO.

He covers the sand mold with a thin layer of concrete to create a hard shell. Next, he applies sheets of fiberglass and epoxy resin. When the concrete has fully set, it can be chipped off to leave a thin, lightweight hull.

The next step is to strengthen the base of the boat with a lattice of fiberglass ridges and hexagons. The bottom of the vessel is created in the same way, where the engines are installed.

Next up is the process of grinding, painting, and finishing. And the "flying saucer" is ready to fly.

On social media, commentators expressed their surprise at this invention of marine engineering.

"I am an old retired engineer. I've built a lot of things in my time, but this is the coolest thing I've ever seen!" wrote an experienced scientist.

"Never in my life have I seen so much talent in one person. You are a gift to all of humanity. Thank you so much for your inspiration and creativity," another commenter wrote.

"You are an alien from outer space. That's how you made a spaceship boat from scratch!" another commenter expressed his admiration.

Trang Long Ho says he does not manufacture products for commercial sale. However, in a post on his Facebook fan page, the inventor notes that he may sell more detailed instructions "to get money for accessories and invest in new interesting inventions."
