On the morning of October 4, a car carrying a war criminal, collaborator Andrii Korotkyi, exploded in occupied Enerhodar; he died in hospital. Korotkyi held the position of "head of physical security" at the Zaporizhzhia NPP seized by Russians.
The incident was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. They said that Korotkyi's car exploded around seven in the morning.
Korotkyi was in the car at the time.
" A war criminal, the 'head of physical security' of the occupied ZNPP, exploded in Enerhodar," the DIU said.
The collaborator was involved in the organization and execution of war crimes and repressions of Ukrainians during the occupation, the intelligence service said.
In particular, after the seizure of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, Korotkyi voluntarily began cooperating with the enemy, gave the occupiers lists of NPP employees with their personal data, pointing to citizens with a patriotic position.
He participated in the repression of the plant's personnel and war crimes against civilians in Enerhodar.
In addition, he constantly organized events in support of the aggressor's army.
As a member of Putin's United Russia party, he headed the so-called "council of deputies" in the occupied city.
"The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reminds that every war criminal will face a just retribution. Glory to Ukraine!" the Ukrainian intelligence said in a statement.
Soon after, enemy resources reported Korotkyi's death as a result of an explosion in his car.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the fact of "murder by a generally dangerous means".
According to Russian investigators, a car parked near a house on Kashtanov Boulevard in Enerhodar was equipped with a homemade explosive.
When the collaborator got into the car, it went off. Korotkyi died in hospital from his injuries.
