This year's November 20 will go down in the history of the Ukrainian gaming industry. Today is the long-awaited release of the post-apocalyptic shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which was postponed several times.

And on the same day, the first official review of the new game appeared on the social network X (formerly Twitter). The British edition of The Gamer Guide shared its review. "An exciting atmosphere, an interesting story, and challenging gameplay," is how they characterized the work of the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World.

A more extended review states: "Impressive graphics and a realistic depiction of the Chornobyl exclusion zone are complemented by a rich storyline and deep lore. The game offers a unique survival experience despite a high entry threshold and occasional performance issues, making it an outstanding representative of the survival horror genre." The publication gave the game a score of 9/10.

Earlier, Xbox Game Studios CEO and Xbox brand chairman Phil Spencer said that he considers S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl worthy of at least a nomination for Game of the Year. The novelty was released exclusively on Microsoft consoles.
