In a month, the team will begin preparing for the upcoming meetings in Riga. The national team's coaching staff, led by head coach Vitaliy Stepanovsky, has decided on an expanded team for the upcoming matches. It should be noted that Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Kobzysty was out of action for three months due to injury. The coaching staff planned to attract the debutant to the national team, but, unfortunately, the player of the Serbian club Mega, who played for the youth national teams of Ukraine, will not join the team in the upcoming window.

The Ukrainian national team will begin preparations for the matches on February 17 in Riga, and on February 20 will travel to Slovenia, where it will play the first qualifying match.

The European Championship qualification will take place during three windows: February 19-27, 2024, November 18-26, 2024 and February 17-25, 2025. Each team will play two games in each window.

According to the format, the top three teams in each group, with the exception of the groups that include the co-hosts of EuroBasket 2025 (Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia), will advance to the final round. In the groups that include the host countries, the host and two other teams that took the highest places will be eligible to participate in EuroBasket.
