The Chinese have shown an inexpensive family car – the Maxus Dajia 7 electric minivan from SAIC. Despite the chosen body format, many elements of the car resemble premium Range Rover SUVs.

CarNewsChina reports on the novelty. Thin stripes of daytime running lights, T-shaped headlights, a special design of the taillights, black-painted roof pillars, steep horizontal lines, and neat chrome decor are obvious references to Range Rover.

However, the new Maxus Dajia 7 electric car does not copy the British model. The body length is 4907 mm with a wheelbase of 2975 mm, width is 1885 mm, and height is 1768 mm.

The list of equipment includes three displays on the front panel, an electric sliding door drive, a panoramic roof, surround view cameras, a refrigerator, automatic braking and marking control systems. For an additional fee, cameras can be installed instead of exterior rearview mirrors.

The Maxus Dajia 7 minivan is equipped with a 245 hp electric motor. There is a choice of electric cars with batteries with a capacity of 77 and 90 kWh. The range is from 527 to 605 km. The price of the basic modification is $36,100.
