The cheapest new generation Volkswagen model: what it will be like

Volkswagen is preparing several next-generation electric models. The manufacturer even promised to start developing a budget car with an attractive price of 20,000 euros. It has now become known what this ambitious car will look like.

According to Motor1, the manufacturer has shown its cheapest electric car in new images before the official premiere. It will take place on March 5, which is coming soon. The name is still being kept secret, but the new car may be called VW ID.1. The harbinger concept may be called Volkswagen ID.EVERY1.

The car is positioned as an affordable, high-quality, and profitable electric car. The design hints at a reference to the appearance of the 1st generation Volkswagen Golf. The expected body length is about 4 meters.

The new model will replace the VW Up! It will be based on the MEB Small platform (from Volkswagen ID.2) for the smallest electric cars with front-wheel drive. No technical details have been disclosed yet. The car should go into mass production by 2027.
