"The Big Bang Theory" will get a spin-off: new details are out

The popular comedy series The Big Bang Theory ended 5 years ago, and its prequel Young Sheldon has already come to an end, but the authors are still not ready to say goodbye to their characters. Thus, on October 17, CBS will launch the spin-off Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, while HBO Max is working on its own spin-off.
According to Variety, very little is known about the upcoming project. Neither the working title of the series nor any details of its plot have been published in the press. However, the names of the first three actors who joined the cast have already been announced. To the delight of fans of the original show, all three appeared in minor roles.
It's about Brian Posehn, who has appeared from time to time as the clumsy but good-natured geologist Bert Kibbler. Kevin Zusman and Lauren Lapkus are also set to star in the new series. Zusman became popular with the audience as the comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, and Lapkus first appeared in season 11 as his assistant Denise. Closer to the show's finale, these characters start a romance, which could theoretically serve as the basis for the spin-off's plot. According to rumors, all the actors will return to their roles from The Big Bang Theory.
The show is currently in development and has not yet received official permission to launch. However, it is known that the co-creator of the original sitcom, Chuck Lorre, is the executive producer of the project.
If the new show is greenlit, it will be the fourth in the Big Bang Theory universe. In addition to the main series, which lasted for 12 seasons, there is also a prequel, Young Sheldon, which, after the seventh season, came to an end in May this year. Soon, "Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage" with Montana Jordan and Emily Osment is to be aired, which will tell about the relationship between Sheldon's parents in the early stages of their family's existence.
