How to store garlic properly so it doesn't spoil

A jar of salt – a proven method. One of the best ways to store garlic is in a glass jar of salt. This method prevents excessive moisture and damage to the cloves.

Here's how to prepare garlic for storage:

1. Pour some coarse salt into the bottom of a dry glass jar.

2. Layer the peeled or unpeeled garlic heads in layers.
