Valencia's Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk became one of the main characters in the 27th round of the Spanish La Liga football championship against Real Madrid. The 28-year-old Ukrainian national team player scored a goal, making the score 2-0 in favor of his team.

In the 57th minute, Valencia head coach Ruben Baraha decided to give the Ukrainian a rest, releasing Diego Lopez instead. During the substitution, the packed Mestalla Stadium (50,000) gave Roman a real ovation.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the game Valencia - Real Madrid ended in a huge scandal with a sending off and a scuffle. The main referee of the match, Jesus Gil Manzano, blew the final whistle a second before the Madrid club scored the winning goal. The score remained the same - 2:2.

Real Madrid players attacked the referee, demanding that the goal be scored. A small brawl broke out on the pitch, in which even Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin took part.

Roman Yaremchuk joined Valencia on September 1, 2023. Since then, he has played 22 matches, scoring four goals.

The Ukrainian striker scored his first goal for Valencia in the 1/32 finals of the Spanish Cup, scoring against Arosa, who play in the country's fifth strongest division.
