In the United States, an incident occurred at the Giga Texas plant near Austin, Texas, which once again raised a wave of distrust and even fear of automated robots. An engineer of this company was attacked and injured by a Tesla robot.

The British Daily Mail reported this, citing data from an injury report submitted by Tesla to regulators and testimony from workers who witnessed the accident.

Two factory workers watched in horror as their colleague was attacked by a red machine designed to grab and move newly cast aluminum car parts.

The Tesla robot pinned down the engineer, who was programming his two out-of-commission "colleagues" at the time. After that, it stuck its metal claws into the worker's back and arm, leaving a bloody trail on the workshop wall.

The incident, which left the victim with an open wound on his left arm, was described in the company's 2021 injury report. Tesla is required by law to submit such reports to local authorities in order to retain tax incentives in the state.

Although Tesla did not report any other similar injuries related to robots at its Texas factory in 2021 or 2022, this incident has raised heightened concerns about the dangers posed by automated robots in the workplace.
