The notorious Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup truck, which turned out to be an expensive car, was promised to be cheap a few years ago. When the model was shown in a production version, the price of the EV doubled, but now the manufacturer has introduced discounts.

According to Carscoops, the price of the Tesla Cybertruck in the cheapest version is now $77,360. It's still quite an expensive car, but it's much less than the $100,000 that the company decided to charge customers a few months after the premiere.

The $77,360 Tesla Cybertruck electric car is a demonstration model with a mileage of 1,500 km. The company is selling just such copies. After all, demand for the car has dropped significantly after the initial hype.

Earlier, it was reported that Tesla collected 2 million pre-orders after showing the concept a few years ago. With the start of full-fledged sales, only 30,000 buyers out of this huge number wanted to purchase it.

Despite the oaths to make the starting price of up to $40,000, the Tesla Cybertruck went on sale from $80,000. The company said it would add a simplified version to the lineup for $60,000 in 2025. However, it was canceled. And the most "affordable" Tesla pickup has now risen in price to $100,000.
