Ingredients
- Honey - 6 tbsp
- Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Nutmeg - 2 tsp.
- Ginger - 2 tsp.
- Cinnamon - 2 tsp.
- Vanillin - 1 tsp.
- Soft butter - 140 gr
- Flour - 480 g
- Soda - 1.5 tsp
- Eggs - 2 pcs
Ingredients for the glaze
- Egg white - 1 pc
- Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation
1. Mix honey, sugar, vanilla and spices in a saucepan. Put on the fire. Stir and bring to a boil.
2. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into a deep plate. Pour in the baking soda. Mix well.
3. Add the cubes of soft butter. Stir.
4. Add the eggs to the warm, not hot, mass so that they do not curdle.
5. Gradually add the flour and knead the soft dough. Wrap it in food wrap and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
6. Take out the dough and roll out a 3-4 mm thick layer, using molds to make shaped gingerbread cookies.
7. Bake for 10 minutes in a 180-degree oven.
8. Prepare the icing. Whisk all the ingredients until smooth and transfer to a pastry bag.
9. Decorate the gingerbread cookies.
