The trend for full-length video game adaptations continues. And one of the next projects will be Until Dawn movie based on the survival horror video game of the same name.

The first teaser of the project has already been released on the YouTube channel of Sony Pictures. It introduces the film's team and outlines what viewers can expect.

Until Dawn screenwriter and producer Gary Doberman says that the filmmakers didn't recreate the game's plot. Rather, they took its setting, which seemed very cinematic to them, and continued the story.

The film's director David Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation) admits in the teaser that the task of the film was to recreate the atmosphere of the game. However, at the same time, the authors aimed to expand its universe. According to Sandberg, in the game, characters die depending on the choices they make. The movie will inherit this mechanic and make the characters invent incredible ways to survive the night and live to see the dawn.

It is known that Peter Stormare will be the only actor from the game's voice cast who will appear on the big screen. He will return to the image of Dr. Hill. He can also be seen in the teaser.

The authors are keeping the plot of the movie a secret for now. However, they promise that it will be a movie with the strictest R-rating and it will be a real ode to the horror genre.

The full trailer for Until Dawn is due out soon. The film will be released worldwide on April 25. It is currently unknown whether it will be available in Ukrainian cinemas.
