Supercomputer predicts Ukraine's chances at Euro 2024

The Italian national football team will not be able to defend the title of the strongest team in Europe, which it won at the 2020 European Championships. The winner of the 2024 trophy is likely to be the English, whose rivals in the decisive match will be the French.

The corresponding forecast for this year's championship was made by the OCB Scores supercomputer. The machine processed 1000 different scenarios for the German championship and compiled a list of favorites. In none of the simulations did the Ukrainian national team win. It was not even in the semifinals.

Serhii Rebrov's team has the 12th-best probability of reaching the playoffs. The computer gives a 65.7% chance that we will see the "Blue and Yellows" in the 1/8 finals. The Ukrainians' reaching the quarterfinals is estimated at 8.7%. And getting to the semifinals was found in 0.7% of cases.

It should be noted that, after the Italians and French, the national teams of Germany (13.5%), Portugal (10.2%) and Spain (8.7%) have the best chances of winning Euro 2024. The probability of victory for the other teams does not exceed 2.2%.

The Ukrainian national team will play Belgium, Romania, and Slovakia in the group stage of the continental championship.
