Subaru has dropped the price of its most unusual crossover

The Subaru Solterra electric crossover is not very popular with buyers. This is visible against the background of more successful rivals. The manufacturer decided to drop the price of an unusual model that stands out in the lineup.

According to Motor1, the price of the 2025 Subaru Solterra starts at $39,900 including delivery (excluding $38,500). This is still more expensive than some competitors, but a $6,500 price cut can be called a pretty aggressive move.

The Subaru Solterra electric car is similar in size to the Subaru Forester crossover and is an alternative to the gasoline model in this class.

The car is the closest relative of the Toyota bZ4X model. The Japanese companies have been jointly developing this "dual" project in an attempt to catch up with the electrification of potential rivals.

Interestingly, the price of the Toyota bZ4X has also recently decreased. The manufacturer introduced a $6000 discount and reduced the cost of the 2025 model year electric crossover to $37,000.
