Russian vacationers, who usually claim that domestic resorts are much better than foreign ones, complain again and again about the conditions of their popular tourist destinations. This time, a recreation center in Altai was the subject of a complaint.

A woman who decided to spend her summer vacation not near the sea but in a mountainous area is frankly disappointed with the "terrible" house she and her family were accommodated in. She left a negative review about the ruined vacation and rude staff on one of the forums.

According to the Russian woman, three weeks before the long-awaited trip, they booked a six-bed house, which included a terrace, barbecue, electricity, kettle and refrigerator. Driving by neighboring recreation centers, she expected to see a modern and comfortable place, but it turned out differently.

"When we were paying for the house, the girl asked us not to be scared, that 'it looks so scary'. We approached and were shocked: it looked burnt and old from the outside. It was black and nondescript, probably one of the first houses on the base, and it hadn't been repaired for a long time," the tourist shared her impressions.

Hopes for a good vacation were finally dashed when the Russians entered the temporary accommodation. The conditions were appalling: "Broken and torn out floors, ceiling tiles torn or bitten by someone in many places, old Soviet sofas and beds, and sticky tapes with dead flies that had not been changed for years."

The staff of the recreation center also made an unpleasant impression on the vacationers. According to the Russian woman, when they complained to the staff about the lack of adequate living conditions, they were told that they were "being too picky." She added that the staff openly stated that if we insisted, we could get our money back and "roll out of here" in search of other bases.

"Of course, we tried to compensate for the negative impressions with nature and emotions, but such a long-awaited vacation for two families was ruined," the camper summarized.

The Russian woman emphasized that the cost of staying at a recreation center in Altai per day was 6 thousand rubles (2,709 hryvnias).
