Second-hand vehicles are in trend: which American used cars are the most popular in Ukraine

Imports of cheap second-hand cars from the US to Ukraine are reviving. Such cars are once again very popular as demand has increased. Experts have named the most popular American used cars.

Traditionally, our motorists prefer inexpensive cars. Used models from the US are much more affordable. According to Ukravtoprom, the demand for such cars increased by 83% compared to 2023.

In August 2024, Ukrainians imported 5.2 thousand used cars from the United States. 42% are equipped with gasoline engines (without electric motors, i.e. hybrids - 8%). Only 6% of diesel cars were imported. The number of electric cars is 38%.

The most popular American used cars in Ukraine:

1. Tesla Model Y - 567 units
2. Tesla Model 3 - 547 units
3. Ford Escape - 329 units
4. Tesla Model S - 265 units
5. Jeep Cherokee - 259 units

Tesla is traditionally responsible for the popularity of American electric vehicles. Its models have again become in demand both in their segment and in the absolute statistics of American imports.
