Russians strike Odesa region with ballistic missiles again: six people killed, many wounded
The occupying country does not stop terrorizing Ukraine. On Wednesday, October 9, the Russians struck Odesa region again with ballistic missiles. The port infrastructure came under attack.
This was reported by the head of the UIA Oleh Kiper. As of now, six people have been killed and many wounded. The Office of the Prosecutor General has already reported that a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of "Violation of the laws and customs of war" (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
"The number of wounded as a result of the Russian missile attack increased to 11 people. Seven people are in serious condition. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance to the victims," the official said in a statement.
He also said that the enemy hit a civilian container ship flying the Panamanian flag. All the victims are citizens of Ukraine.
The keeper also added that this is the third attack on a civilian vessel in the last four days.
"The insidious enemy is trying to disrupt the work of the Ukrainian grain corridor by killing civilians and destroying infrastructure. Law enforcement agencies are documenting another crime of the Russians. I express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims..." the official summarized.
According to law enforcement officials, the inspection of the damaged vessel is ongoing, and the final number of dead and injured, as well as the full list of destruction and damage, is being established.
Last time, at dawn on October 2, Russian occupants also attacked Izmail district of Odesa region with attack drones. The terrorists targeted the port and border infrastructure.
On the night of October 9, Russian occupants again attacked Odesa region with kamikaze drones. The attack damaged a high-rise building in Chornomorsk, Odesa district, and five people were injured.
