On the evening of Wednesday, January 10, Russian invaders again attacked Kharkiv with S-300 missiles from the Belgorod region. Explosions were heard in the city, there were arrivals, and a civilian facility was hit. The attack left 11 people injured, including a journalist from Turkey.

The Kyiv district of the regional center came under enemy fire, and cars caught fire there. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov. He later clarified that the enemy missiles hit near a hotel in the center of Kharkiv.

"There is a high probability of casualties among the people who were in the hotel. Cars are burning in the parking lot next to the facility, and there is preliminary damage to the building. All relevant services have already arrived there," Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote.

Syniehubov said that six people were injured in the Russian attack, and medics are providing them with assistance. Soon the number of victims increased to 11, 9 were hospitalized. Among them are 4 men aged 31 to 38 and 7 women aged 23 to 71.

"A 35-year-old man is in serious condition, 8 patients are in average condition; 2 were treated on the spot... Among the injured are journalists of a Turkish publication who were staying at the hotel," the head of the regional military administration said.

The National Police of Ukraine noted that all the victims were civilians. "There were no military mercenaries, no military here. This is a civilian facility, civilian infrastructure. We have always accommodated our friends, guests who stayed in Kharkiv, foreign delegations here," said Mayor Igor Terekhov.

Kharkiv Region Prosecutor Oleksandr Filchakov said that the occupiers used S-300 missiles from the territory of Belgorod region. One of them hit the building of the hotel complex, the other - a few meters from its entrance. There were more than 30 people in the hotel, including 7 staff and 23 guests.

The State Emergency Service said that upon arriving at the scene, they evacuated 8 people from the building.

"The fire area was about 20 square meters. 9 units of fire and rescue equipment and 70 personnel of the SES were working at the scene," the statement said.
