On the evening of Tuesday, January 16, Russian occupation forces once again fired missiles at Kharkiv. The invaders hit residential infrastructure.

There are wounded as a result of the attack. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

According to preliminary data, the occupiers struck with S-300 missiles.

"The occupiers struck Kharkiv with two missiles. Preliminary, with S-300s. There is damage to civilian residential infrastructure," the statement said.

According to Syniehubov, a 43-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition. Ten other people are in light and moderate condition.

Doctors continue to examine the victims. Emergency services continue to inspect the impact sites.

As of 22:47, the number of victims has increased.

"As of this moment, 16 people have been injured in the center of Kharkiv as a result of Russian shelling. 2 women are in serious condition," Syniehubov said.

As of 23:24, the number of victims of the Russian strike increased to 17 people .

"Two women remain in serious condition. 12 people are also hospitalized, they are in moderate and light condition. Three people refused to be hospitalized and were provided with medical care on the spot," the head of the RMA said.

At the same time, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov clarified that the enemy's attacks took place in the city center.

"There is no military infrastructure, but there are residential buildings. The State Emergency Service is already working at the sites of the attacks. There is information about the wounded," he emphasized.

The State Emergency Service reported that one of the missiles hit a three-story building of an inactive medical facility, partially destroying it.

When firefighters arrived, they found several fires in two buildings. The total area of the fire was about 60 square meters. Destruction and damage to residential and other buildings were also reported.

Rescuers rescued 1 woman and evacuated 30 people.
