Russia was disconnected from the international aviation domain zone

Terrorist country Russia has been disconnected from the international aviation domain zone. The Swiss provider SITA is denying Russian airlines access to the international aviation domain zone .aero.

This was reported by a number of Russian media outlets. More than 200 websites are registered in the .aero zone, including 30 airports and 15 airlines.

"Today we received a message from the administrator of the .AERO top-level domain (SITA SC). Starting from November 10, 2023, SITA SC will stop accepting orders for registration and renewal of domains in the .AERO domain zone for clients from a number of countries, including the Russian Federation," Ru-Center said in a letter.

The registrar's press service confirmed to Izvestia that it had received this message from SITA and was sending it out. The Swiss company declined to comment.

At the same time, SITA failed to immediately disconnect Russia from the aviation domain zone. Ru-Center urgently extended the validity of the domains of all its customers for one year at its own expense to maintain the performance of their sites immediately after receiving the notice, the company said in a newsletter.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the US Treasury Department suspects 100 vessels of violating Western sanctions on Russian oil. Ship management companies in about 30 countries received the notification.
