Russia continues to terrorize peaceful Ukrainian cities. This time, on Saturday, October 19, the center of Zaporizhzhia came under attack.

This was reported by the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov. As of now, it is known about ten wounded, including children.

"The blast wave and debris damaged the buildings in the area. All utilities are already working on the spot. The injured are being provided with emergency medical assistance," noted Fedorov.

He also added that anyone who needs help can call the city's call center:

As of 20:33, Ivan Fedorov provided details of the attack on Zaporizhzhia.

"Damaged buildings, injured people - the enemy targeted Zaporizhzhia once again. They fight with civilians, as always," said the official.

An 82-year-old woman is among the injured.

"One of the guided bombs fell a few hundred meters from the hypermarket. A private house was destroyed," said Fedorov.

The State Emergency Service confirmed that there are children among the victims.

"On October 19, at 18:40, Russian troops dropped guided bombs on Zaporizhzhia. Eight people were injured, including two children. The blast wave damaged the facades of the buildings and the glazing," the rescuers said.

The rescuers freed the car, which was trapped by the car wash gate. A total of 13 rescuers and 3 vehicles were engaged in the relief efforts. The work to eliminate the consequences of the attack has been completed.

As of 20:40, Ivan Fedorov said that two girls aged 9 and 13 were among the wounded.

"The children are in hospital. Their condition is assessed as moderate. After being examined by doctors and given first aid, two men and a woman refused hospitalization. Other victims are being examined by doctors too," he noted.

As of 22:12, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 10 victims, from 9 to 82, have been reported as a result of the attack on Zaporizhzhia.

"Tonight, Russians dropped three guided bombs (preliminary estimates). The occupiers targeted three districts of the regional center. A private household and open areas were hit," the statement said.

The police said that the blast wave and debris partially damaged a residential building, shops, a car wash, a shopping center warehouse and vehicles. Police officers, bomb squad, employees of the State Emergency Service and specialized services of the city are working at the impact sites.

As reported, on the night of October 19, the Russian army launched another massive attack against Ukraine. More than 100 air targets were reported: up to 98 drones and six X-59/69 missiles. Air defense forces destroyed 42 UAVs and four missiles. Combat operations continued as of the afternoon.

In particular, the occupiers attacked energy facilities in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, resulting in injuries and one death.

In addition, there is a victim in Kyiv: a piece of a UAV flew into the window of her apartment. The woman sustained a serious leg injury and underwent surgery.

In Darnytsia district of the capital, the facade of a high-rise building and several cars were damaged. Air defense forces have been repelling the attack, shooting down enemy targets.
