Russia shelled the border areas of Sumy region at night and in the morning: one person killed

The Russian occupation army continues to terrorize the border settlements of Sumy region with regular shelling. The day before, the invaders launched a missile attack that killed a civilian.

Four more residents were injured. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

Russia attacked the Verkhniosyrovatska community. As a result of the shelling, one civilian was killed and four others were injured.

A total of 18 attacks on the border areas and settlements of Sumy region were recorded since the night of September 1 and during the morning. About fifty explosions occurred in Velykopysarivska, Bilopilska, Verkhniosyrovatska, Krasnopilska, Yunakivska, Esmanska, Seredyno-Budska, Hlukhivska and Novoslobidska communities.

Russian occupants dropped two guided bombs on the Velykopysarivska community. They also shelled the territory of the Krasnopilska community with artillery, dropped three guided bombs on the Bilopilska community and fired from mortars 15 times.

In the Hlukhivska community, the Russians used 4 guided bombs, dropping one each on the Yunakivska and Novoslobidska communities.

The Russian occupants terrorized the Esmanska community with mortars. A total of 7 explosions were recorded. The enemy attacked the Seredyna-Budska community with FPV drones twice.

As a reminder, io the evening of August 31, the occupiers attacked the Sumy-Kharkiv highway near the village of Verkhnia Syrovatka, Sumy district. The missile attack damaged a convoy of grain trucks.

As reported, on August 31, the Russian Armed Forces shelled the village of Novoosynove, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region. Three civilians were injured in the shelling of the village.

Earlier, it was reported that on the night of September 1, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed eight out of 11 Russian Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones over different regions. The enemy also attacked the country with a ballistic missile.
