"They are kicking Russia out. This is not normal": Russian athlete complains that she cried because of her suspension from the Olympics
Denshchikova criticized the IOC
Russian skeleton athlete Olga Denshchikova has called the suspension of Russian athletes from international competitions unfair and illogical. The 34-year-old native of Krasnoyarsk, who was banned for life for doping and then acquitted, complained that she was not allowed to attend the 2018 Pyeongchang Games.
Denshchikova said this in an interview with the propaganda outlet Sport-Express. She criticized the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for its allegedly inconsistent treatment of athletes from Russia and Belarus, keeping silent about the fact that both countries were involved in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February last year.

Russia is isolated from world sport
"It's a shame. This is probably one of the most difficult moments. Disqualification? I was in St. Petersburg. I was crying. I couldn't believe it. Then, when I was acquitted, I was relieved. But then I wasn't allowed to go to the Olympics. It was like a seesaw: up and down. They made a new motto: "Faster, higher, stronger - together". At the same time, they kicked out Belarus and Russia. I think this is illogical. They are contradicting themselves. This is not normal. Everything is only getting worse," said Dknschikova.
