Real's new decision regarding Andriy Lunin: media report imminent transfer

Lunin becomes a substitute at Real Madrid once again

Ukraine's goalkeeper Andriy Lunin may leave Real Madrid in the near future - in the winter or summer transfer window. The 25-year-old, who signed a new contract with the club in the fall until the summer of 2030, wants to get more playing time and is looking for a new team.

This is facilitated by the decision of Real president Florentino Pérez, who included Lunin in the list of possible sales, reports Defensa Central. Along with the Ukrainian, defenders Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia, as well as midfielder Daniel Ceballos, have every chance of leaving Real Madrid.

At the same time, the chances of transferring these players this winter are slim. The capital's club has no desire to sell or buy players. However, it is obvious that this summer these four players will be attractive options.

This season, Lunin has played only six matches in all tournaments - three in the national championship, two in the Champions League and one in the Spanish Cup. Andriy conceded eight goals and had zero saves in three games. In one of the matches, the Ukrainian achieved a unique achievement - he was the first Real goalkeeper since 1993 after Paco Buyo to boast an assist in a La Liga match.

As previously reported, at the end of last year, Andriy Lunin won his 11th trophy for the Real Madrid.
