Quentin Tarantino called "one of the best movies he's ever seen". Trailer

Quentin Tarantino has named one of his favorite cartoons

Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino, known for his masterpieces "Kill Bill," "Pulp Fiction" and "Inglourious Basterds," called "one of the best movies [or rather, cartoons] he's ever seen." For him, the Toy Story series might have been the best movie trilogy if it hadn't been "ruined" by the last installment.

In total, Toy Story consists of 4 animated films, the last of which was released in 2019. Tarantino revealed on Bill Maher's Club Random podcast that this installment supposedly spoiled the entire trilogy. The third installment, on the other hand, is, in his opinion, the best movie of all time.

"I don't watch all the animated movies, but I'm a big fan of the Toy Story trilogy," Tarantino said, adding, "In the case of Toy Story, the third installment is just great. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. And if you've seen the other two, it's just amazing."

However, he has no desire to review the final fourth installment of the movie series. In the director's opinion, the trilogy had a perfect ending, so there was no need for a sequel.

"The thing is, three years or so later, they filmed a fourth installment. I have no desire to watch it, nor do I want to watch it. You literally finished the story as perfectly as you could, so no, I don't care if it [the fourth installment] is good. I've had enough," the director explained.

What's interesting is that "Toy Story 4" received favorable reviews and over $1 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. It also won the Oscar for best animated film. Moreover, Disney and Pixar studios have continued the franchise for a fifth installment. It is scheduled to come out in 2026.

Specifically, he also added that he is excited about the "dollar trilogy" movies: "For a Fistful of Dollars," "A Few Dollars More," and "The Good, the Bad, and the Wicked." He likes the way their plot is structured and how much the later installments are better than the previous ones.

"It does what no other trilogy could ever do. The first movie is awesome, but the second movie is so great that it brings the whole idea to such a big canvas that it overshadows the first movie. And then the third does the same thing to the second. You'll see this big jump from the first to the second and they don't land on the third," the director admitted.
