The camera caught what Tyson Fury was told during the fight with Usyk. Video
During the fight with Ukrainian WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 14 KOs), the coach of British heavyweight Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs), Sugar Hill Steward urged his client to apply pressure. TNT Sports posted a video of the 49-year-old's actions on his TikTok account.
"Yeah, just keep going, he's waiting for you to give up, but you're holding on – that's right. Keep putting pressure on him, you're managing to get him where you want him to go. When you step back, just be ready to hit with your back hand. You need to work on your right foot, your right foot, that's all. That's the gong, okay, bro, that was your round. You just need to keep the pressure on like we practiced," Steward said between rounds.
The American trainer constantly advised Tyson not to give up.
"Keep your hands up in the round, don't let him take the damn round. He's trying to snatch the last 30 seconds. Don't let him catch you when you're backing away. Okay, you got a second wind, now don't back down!" Steward shouted.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, in the break between the 11th and 12th three minutes of the Sugar Hill fight, Steward urged his fighter to be active in order to take the victory.
It is worth noting that the video shot between the rounds also includes Yuriy Tkachenko's advice to Oleksandr Usyk.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, on the night of Sunday, December 22, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury for the second time and defended his titles. The seventh fight of the Ukrainian in the super-heavyweight division ended with a victory on points 116:112, 116:112, 116:112.
