Prigozhin's associate, who performed the "most shadowy" tasks, was found dead in Karelia
Russian occupier Andrey Tkachenko, who used to be one of the closest associates of the leader of the Wagner PMC Yevhen Prigozhin, was found dead in Russia. His body was found in Lake Segozero in the Russian Republic of Karelia.
According to the Russian "VCHK-OGPU" Telegram channel, Tkachenko was at war in Ukraine from 2022 to October 2024. On October 28, the Wagnerian "disappeared under strange circumstances."
He had come to Karelia to go fishing with a friend. On the morning of October 28, he rented a boat with his friend and 8-year-old son and went to Segozero. The boat allegedly capsized during a storm. Tkachenko's son managed to swim to the nearest island, where he was found by local residents. Later, the body of Tkachenko's friend was also found. The body of the Wagnerian war criminal himself was found only on November 3.
The author of the channel writes that Andrey Tkachenko was part of the circle of people allowed to communicate personally with Prigozhin and performed "shadow tasks around the world" for him. On the orders of the Wagner leader, he was spying on the family of the aggressor country's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in particular, on his son-in-law Alexander Vinokurov.
"Under threat of treason charges, he testified against Yevgeny Prigozhin and his 'right-hand man'" Oleksandr Maloletka. While the materials on the head of the PMC Wagner were not used, Maloletka was brought to justice. He promised to take revenge on Tkachenko," the statement said.
It is also noted that Tkachenko was involved in a number of "special projects" in Africa and performed secret missions in Russia.
