There's always a way to buy a cool premium crossover cheap. You need to turn to the secondary market, where they identified the five best used cars in their segment. Experts paid special attention to reliability.

The list was compiled by What Car specialists. They checked expensive models with an age of 6 to 20 years and chose the best. Premium crossovers lose price more strongly compared to affordable cars.

Therefore, the purchase may seem attractive. However, it is important to remember the reliability - this is what the experts based on and gave each model a percentage rating.

Best used crossovers in the premium segment:

1. Volkswagen Touareg (2010 through 2018) - 89.3%;
2. Volvo XC90 (from 2002 through 2015) - 85.4%;
3. Land Rover Range Rover Sport (from 2014 to 2022) - 80.9%;
4. Porsche Macan diesel (from 2014) - 76.8%;
5. BMW X5 (from 2013 through 2018) - 72.4%.

In last place is the BMW X5 crossover, which is praised for its rich equipment versus reliability. However, complaints about suspension problems are reported. But these are quickly rectified.

The winner is the second-generation Volkswagen Touareg. Its pluses are practical interior, rich equipment and powerful motors. Secondary electronics sometimes causes complaints.
