On the night of August 3, strong explosions were heard near the Russian military airfield Morozovsk. It is located in the Rostov region of the aggressor country.

Video from the impact site was published by Russian Telegram channels. After the explosions, a massive fire broke out and further detonation were heard.

Eyewitnesses wrote online that, judging by the detonation, an ammunition depot or fuel tanks caught fire.

According to the international intelligence community InformNapalm and OSINT investigators, the fire occurred on the territory of the parking lot of Russian fighter jets. According to preliminary data, the enemy has lost a number of aircraft..

In addition, numerous fires were recorded at the Russian airfield as a result of secondary detonation after the attack.

In addition, the network wrote about a possible attack on fuel tanks in the Kamensky district of Rostov region.

According to the Russian edition ASTRA, citing local residents, the Atlas plant, which belongs to the Office of the Federal Agency for State Reserves in the Southern Federal District and is located in the Astakhov rural settlement of the Kamensky district, is probably the one affected.

This plant specializes in the storage of petroleum products. In particular, it provides them to the Russian army.

"In August 2020, the plant hosted joint exercises of the Ministry of Defense and the Russian Reserve as part of the Caucasus 2020 exercise. The demonstration exercises on the supply of petroleum products for the needs of the army practiced three methods - road, rail and pipeline," ASTRA quotes a fragment of the newspaper publication Zemlya from 2023.

Rostov region governor Golubev said that "55 Ukrainian UAVs attacked the territory of the Rostov region".

"There were no casualties as a result of the attack. Emergency response services are dealing with the aftermath at the impact sites," he wrote on social media.

A representative of the occupiers also said that as a result of the massive UAV attack, "a number of warehouse facilities in Kamensky  and Morozovsk districts were damaged."

The airfield in Morozovsk is a base for dozens of Su-34 fighter-bombers and Su-27 fighters. Back on June 14, the Morozovsk airfield was attacked too. The head of the DIU, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the Ukrainian military used at least 70 Dragon and Splash drones. Their main target was a hangar for Su-34 Fullback fighter-bombers.

Satellite photos showed that the hangar was destroyed and five Su-34 aircraft "disappeared".

These are not the only times this Russian airfield has been hit. The attack on Morozovsk, which was carried out by the SSU together with the Defense Forces on the night of April 5, destroyed at least six enemy aircraft and severely damaged eight more.

As reported, explosions were heard in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation on the night of August 2: Russians complained about an attack by Ukrainian drones. Two of them hit a power substation in the city of Tikhoretsk, where a fire broke out.
