"Polytechnic" defeated "Kryvbas" at the start of the Favbet Super League bubble in Rivne

In the first game of the Favbet Super League's Rivne Super Tournament, teams from the bottom of the standings - Kryvbas and Politekhnika-Halychyna - met. The rivals had 6 wins before the match, but the confrontation was expected to be competitive. It turned out to be just that (the largest lead of one of the teams - Polytechnic-Galicia - was only 6 points), and the winner was the club from Lviv - 76:74.

In the opening game, both teams were excellent from the perimeter: Kryvbas made 58 percent of their three-pointers compared to the opponent's 45 percent in the first ten minutes. Nevertheless, it was the Lviv club that managed to leave the starting quarter behind them - 24:20. At the same time, the opponents were approximately equal in terms of rebounds and turnovers.

Throughout the second quarter, Polytechnic kept the lead, but could not get far ahead, primarily because Kryvbas continued to rely on long-range shooting: 9 hits out of 20 attempts in the first half.

At the start of quarter N3, Kryvbas took the lead after a long break. Subsequently, the rivals changed the lead several times until the final five minutes. In the last two minutes, the teams entered the game with Polytechnic at +6, but in a minute Oleksandr Vorona's team reduced their deficit to a minimum (74-75). In the last minute, Kryvbas players made three attempts from outside the perimeter to win the game, but missed three times, and in the end, the Lviv club celebrated success. Today's victory was Polytechnic's 9th in the championship.

Maxim Safonov scored 29 pointsfor the winners. Leiterrence Reed was the most productive player for Kryvbas with 21 points. Nikita Bibikov scored three points less.
