Poland starts repairing another border crossing point to Ukraine: huge queues may appear

Starting August 26, repair work will begin at the Shehyni-Medyka border crossing point, which will slow down the departure of trucks and buses from Ukraine to Poland. The repairs will last until mid-October, so drivers are advised to take possible delays into account when planning their routes.

This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine. "According to the Polish side, starting from August 26 at 09:00, the departure of freight transport and buses from Ukraine to Poland will be slowed down at the Shehyni-Medica checkpoint due to the repair of two lanes," the statement said.

According to the information, these works will last until mid-October. In particular, it is planned to repair two lanes of traffic, which can significantly complicate the process of leaving Ukraine for Poland.

The main consequence of the repair work will be a significant slowdown in the exit of trucks and buses through the checkpoint. Drivers planning to cross the border in this direction are advised to consider possible delays in advance and plan their routes accordingly. This is especially true for international transportation companies and tourist groups using buses to travel to Poland.

The Shehyni-Medyka border crossing point is one of the busiest on the border between Ukraine and Poland.
