The first Boeing 737-800SF aircraft in the Supernova Airlines fleet has completed a certification flight. Nova Poshta plans to start regular commercial operation of the aircraft in the winter season of 2024-2025.

This was announced by Olha Baburina, a spokeswoman for Nova Poshta. According to her, the flight took place "under the flag of Ukraine, with Ukrainian UR-NPA registration marks."

"It was a certification flight, one of the final steps in the process of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine adding the Boeing 737-800SF type to the Supernova airline's operator certificate," the company spokeswoman said.

Supernova Airlines has received a Ukrainian operator's certificate, which allows it to start cargo flights on January 6, 2023.

As reported, despite the war in Ukraine, Supernova Airlines continues to go through all the procedures necessary to operate regular cargo flights to and from the European Union, where the airline's aircraft are based during the closure of Ukraine's airspace.

In particular, Supernova Airlines operated its first flight on the Riga-Rzeszow-Riga route. The aircraft delivered 7 tons of international parcels of the company's customers from Riga International Airport to Rzeszow, Poland. Supernova Airlines plans to operate this route twice a week - on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Supernova Airlines was founded in 2021.
