Every season brings with it general cleaning. Pre-Easter in the spring, pre-Christmas in the winter, and summer before the Green Holidays. Autumn cleaning comes with the first coolness of September, when it's time to go through closets and take out warm sweaters, and then the eye falls on other housework – washing windows, replanting flowers, and cleaning mosquito nets.

Those who live in private estates have plenty of work to do in the fall: remove leaves, prune roses, and arrange shelters for perennials. Experts told us what to do in the house in the fall.

If you're comforting yourself with the idea that the allergy season is over, autumn allergens have some bad news for you. Autumn brings its own set of allergens that, in addition to watery, itchy eyes and sneezing fits, can also mean pollen buildup on your windows. The tiny little pollen granules can get into the cracks around the window, also affecting the indoor air quality. So it's important to thoroughly clean your windows and mosquito nets from dust.

As a bonus, a good glass cleaning in the fall will mean better sunlight infiltration when daylight hours start to decrease.

Don't forget about the interior. Wipe the window sills, set aside a day to wash the curtains, and clean the house of dust and dirt.

Check the weather forecast and choose a day without rain and some cloud cover, as the sun's rays can cause the cleaning solution to dry prematurely, leaving streaks behind.

There are a variety of window cleaning solutions on the market. White vinegar is one of the most popular glass cleaners. Take 50 ml of vinegar per 150 ml of water and wipe the glass thoroughly with the solution.

A special solution containing vinegar, dishwashing detergent, and water will be more effective. Pour hot water into a small container, but be careful: the water should not be boiling. Add the vinegar and dishwashing liquid in a 1:1 ratio and wipe the stained windows thoroughly.

The solution will not leave streaks due to the acidity of the vinegar. And the detergent will quickly remove dirt.

A significant disadvantage of vinegar is its pungent acidic odor, which does not disappear from the room for a long time. Experts also recommend using a rather unexpected natural product – tea bags. Cleaning professionals claim that black tea "is the best solution for cleaning glass."
