The release of the Ukrainian game STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl started at 18:00 Kyiv time on November 20. One million copies were sold in a day and a half.

Even more people joined the hunt for artifacts with Game Pass. This was reported on the game's official account on the X network.

"No wonder it feels a bit crowdy in the Zone. A million copies were sold, and much more stalkers joined the artifact hunt with Game Pass. This is just the start of our unforgettable adventure. The Heart of Chornobyl emanates stronger with each of us," the statement said.

As OBOZ.UA wrote on November 19, the game's developers, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, announced the exact release time of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl in different parts of the world. It started at 18:00 on November 20, Kyiv time.

The very next day, the game topped the Steam sales charts and even took the lead among paid projects, becoming the second in the overall list after Counter-Strike 2.

However, the joy of the long-awaited release was somewhat overshadowed by gamers' reports of bugs and errors.

The developers responded to the complaints. In the official statement of the GSC Game World team, users were promised free content and bug fixes.

The game was released exclusively on PC and Xbox consoles. It can be played on S and X series devices. It is also available on Game Pass.

On personal computers, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 requires 160 GB of disk space and at least 16 GB of dual-channel RAM.

It was also reported that the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was postponed several times.

The game has no Russian voice acting. The shooter will not be available in Russia, at least through official distribution channels. Due to the position of GSC Game World condemning Russia's full-scale aggression, the State Duma started talking about the possibility of its official ban in Russia a few days before the release.
