"No one will want to face them in the knockouts": media's predictions for Ukraine national team at Euro 2024

The Ukrainian national football team has every chance of becoming one of the main sensations of the 2024 European Championship finals in Germany. The current generation of the Blue and Yellows demonstrates a high level in the continent's top championships, making the team one of the most undesirable rivals for other tournament participants.

This opinion was expressed by Goal.com columnist Krishan Davis. The journalist emphasized that Ukraine is likely to enjoy the support of neutral fans at German stadiums because of Russia's military aggression, which will be an additional factor in favor of Serhiy Rebrov's team.

"There is the talent in the squad to cause a serious problem, too. Heorhiy Sudakov, Mykhailo Mudryk and Artem Dobvyk - La Liga's top scorer this season - are all exceptional on their day, while the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Mykola Shaparenko and Viktor Tsyhankov offer a mix of ability and experience. Ukraine have held England, Germany (twice) and Italy to draws in the past year and could feasibly top a favourable Group B over Belgium, Slovakia and Romania. If they can impress, no one will want to face them in the knockouts," the media representative said.
