New Dacia model will surprise with features and low price: what is known

Dacia's budget models are very popular, and the company intends to strengthen its position in the segment. To do this, it is preparing a new model that will pleasantly surprise not only with its price but also with its capabilities, as it will be an electric vehicle.

The car is at an early stage of development, and we already know something about the model. According to Carscoops, the new Dacia car will be developed in record time – in 16 months.

It is expected that the new Dacia will debut in 2026 as a truly affordable electric car with a price of less than 18,000 euros. It will be based on the Renault Twingo E-Tech platform. The new car may be the successor to the Dacia Spring.

It was also recently reported that the new 4th generation Dacia Sandero will receive an electric powertrain for the first time. This option will be offered in the lineup in parallel with internal combustion engines.

The 2027 model year Dacia Sandero will still be based on the CMF-B platform. At the same time, potential buyers should not expect modern fast charging and a large range. As always, the company will focus on affordability.
