Mitsubishi's low-cost bestseller has been discontinued: long forgotten in Ukraine

Mitsubishi Lancer is a famous inexpensive car. In its time the model was a bestseller even in Ukraine, although today many people have forgotten about it. But only now this car has been removed from production.

Many years ago Mitsubishi Lancer left the European market (and Ukrainian). In America, the model was also stopped to sell - it became an exclusive for Asian markets. Details became known to TopGear.

After the last modernization the car was called Mitsubishi Grand Lancer. The design of the body was adjusted to the current corporate style, and the interior was equipped with modern equipment. But under the threat of popularity of crossovers, the compact sedan left the conveyor. In the near future the successor is not planned.

Interestingly, there has been some demand recently around Mitsubishi's non-young models. For example, the budget car Mirage, which has been produced since 2011, has shown an increase in sales.

In the United States, sales in 2024 have increased by 85%, that is, almost doubled. Since the beginning of the year, the company has sold about 10 000 copies of the budget model.
