Derby County's central midfielder Ebou Adams made a phenomenal miss in the home match of the 6th round of the Championship (the second strongest division in England) against Cardiff. The 28-year-old Gambia international failed to hit the empty net from 15 meters.

Down 0-1, the visitors won a corner kick in the last seconds. The whole team ran out to attack, and the goalkeeper stayed near the center circle.

After a free kick, the hosts managed to clear the ball, which bounced to Adams.

He won the ball in a one-on-one battle with the goalkeeper and ran to the empty net. Before reaching the frame of 15 meters, the Gambian struck a shot, which turned out to be inaccurate.

In the comments, fans could not get past this gaffe, calling it the "miss of the century". The score of the match did not change: 1-0 in favor of Derby.
