The new Mercedes Gelendwagen will be the cheapest SUV in the lineup of the famous model. At the same time, the car, which has not been heard about for a long time, will be a compact version of the Mercedes G-Class. The manufacturer reminded us about this car.
The Mercedes G-Class SUV was shown online in a new official image. The company showed a pyramid of the lineup, with a mysterious compact car at the bottom. The details became known to Motor1.
Earlier, the manufacturer showed the first photo of the new model – a not very informative teaser, which showed the compact SUV from the side. The new Mercedes Little G (working title) shows a clear resemblance to the full-size G-Class.

The inscription says the same thing. However, the manufacturer specifically wrote the "g" in lowercase to emphasize the small size of the car. We can see a strict geometric silhouette, a straight hood, and a front bumper, and a spare tire can be seen at the back. Or an external luggage box.
The new SUV will be built on the MMA platform. It allows you to install both internal combustion engines and electric motors.
