Mass producers of affordable cars proved to be better than premium ones: study

The authors of a new study have found out which automakers have the most loyal customers. Interestingly, in this regard, companies with mass-produced affordable cars proved to be the best and outperformed premium manufacturers of expensive cars.

The study was conducted by JD Power. Toyota took the lead in the mass segment with a customer loyalty score of 60%. It was followed by Honda with 55%.

Among mass crossovers and SUVs, Subaru took first place with 61.1%. Toyota is in second place in the segment with 60.5%.

Ford topped the pickup truck market with a high of 64.6%. Next is Toyota with 60.4%. At the same time, premium companies have slightly lower figures.

Thus, Porsche took the lead in its sector with 56.8%. Mercedes took second place with 50.5%.

When it comes to premium crossovers, Volvo took the lead with 56.5% of customer loyalty. Then came BMW with 56.1%.
