Lost his dream. A Russian man was turned away at the Istanbul airport halfway to Mexico for a Madonna concert

A Russian man was unable to attend a concert of the iconic singer Madonna in Mexico because of his infamous red passport. Just before entering the plane, an airline employee refused to allow Gleb from St. Petersburg and, according to him, seven other fellow citizens to board.

According to the Russian media, the man was supposed to fly to Cancun from St. Petersburg with a stopover in Istanbul, the capital of Turkey, where the "discriminatory speech" allegedly took place, although according to the "victim" himself, the employee calmly refused to take the Russians on board.

"I was flying to Mexico via Turkey. In the transit area, in front of the gate, representatives of the Turkish airline simply stood up and, seeing my Russian passport, refused to let me enter the plane. That is, this is not even check-in, not passport control. It's just employees standing at the entrance to the plane," he complained.

Interestingly, the propaganda media claims that the woman allegedly "threw" documents at unwanted passengers, but the man himself notes that she only put the passports "in one stack" and refused to provide services.

"I had a stack of documents and several Russian passports on top. She didn't even look at the documents - she took the Russian passports from me and another person with a Russian passport, put them in a pile and said: "You are not going any further," the Russian said.

Other victims, according to the Russian media, included two other girls who were allegedly picked on simply because of their red passports.

"The guy says another girl was turned away 'because of a little travel history,' even though she had a British visa and Schengen stamped on her. Another passenger was traveling to the country to reunite with her family, but she was told that she didn't even have to look for or show the necessary documents - she would be banned immediately. The rest of us, they said, were greeted with the words "Ah, another Russian" and had their boarding passes crossed out," the media wrote about the alleged discrimination against Russians.

According to the media, Glib from St. Petersburg threw away almost 450 thousand rubles (190 thousand UAH or 4500 euros), but the worst thing was allegedly that he "lost his dream."

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the Russian staged a riot on the streets of Phuket, a popular resort in Thailand. He knocked down as many as seven power poles with his car, which left several blocks without electricity and communication.
